CULTURAL CELEBRATION
We believe in the power of culture to unite and inspire. Through events like the annual Tees Valley Ethnic Minority Achievement Awards, we celebrate the outstanding contributions of individuals and groups from ethnic minority backgrounds. These awards shine a spotlight on achievements in fields such as education, business, arts, and community service, fostering pride and recognition within the community.
In addition to the awards, we organise cultural festivals, exhibitions, and workshops that showcase the rich heritage and traditions of diverse communities. These initiatives not only promote intercultural understanding but also provide a platform for people to share their stories and celebrate their identities. By supporting community-led cultural activities, we help to preserve and promote the vibrant diversity that enriches our region. Our cultural celebration projects are about building pride, fostering inclusion, and creating opportunities for people to connect and learn from one another.
ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT
We are committed to supporting individuals and businesses from ethnic minority backgrounds to achieve their full potential. Through tailored training programmes, mentorship schemes, and access to resources, we help to enhance employability, entrepreneurship, and economic resilience. Our initiatives include workshops on skills development, business planning, and financial literacy, as well as networking events that connect aspiring entrepreneurs with experienced mentors and industry leaders.
We also work to create work placement and volunteering opportunities, providing valuable experience and pathways to employment. By addressing barriers to economic participation and promoting access to opportunities, we aim to reduce disparities and create a more equitable society. Our economic empowerment projects are about unlocking potential, fostering innovation, and building a stronger, more inclusive economy for all.
